“The etiology of ADHD is generally acknowledged to be complex and multifactorial. Suggested contributory factors have been diet, nutrition, and in particular abnormalities in the metabolism of the long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids.” [1]

Accentrate® was formulated by relying on the scientific literature that shows which nutrients provide the most support in improving attention, focus, and emotional regulation. There is scientific support for the inclusion of every ingredient in Accentrate®.

Provided here are the citations to all of the research we relied upon in the formulation of Accentrate®: https://accentrate.com/complete-list-of-all-referenced-studies/

By far, the nutrients with the most clinical support for improvements in supporting attention and emotional regulation are omega-3 fatty acids. A study out of King’s College London showed omega-3 oil to be as effective for attention as ADHD medications for some children. [2]

Not only does Accentrate® provide omega-3 fatty acids, it provides them in the Brain Ready form, the phospholipid form, which is the preferred carrier to the brain.[3]

Whether it’s the omega-3s, B-vitamins, magnesium, vitamin D, or zinc, each ingredient in Accentrate® has been studied and has been independently clinically proven to be helpful in supporting attention and emotional regulation.

However, it’s also important to us to show clinically that the combined formulations are equally as beneficial. We partnered with a university to do a clinical trial on the Accentrate® formulation itself and were preparing to start in March 2020, but shelter-in-place due to Covid-19 went into effect and caused delay. We are reviewing some recent discoveries and advancements in this field and are excited about having the results measured in a clinical setting.
