We have reformulated Accentrate to provide even more nutrition. We’ve added 50% more EPA, 50% more DHA, and we’ve added 50% more L-methylfolate, and 50% more vitamin D. We’ve also added 230% of the daily value amount of riboflavin. Riboflavin is vitamin B2, and that is an important coenzyme in dopamine synthesis.
To make room for all of these additions, we’ve removed magnesium from Accentrate entirely. We also offer Accentrate MZI. Accentrate MZI contains magnesium, zinc, and iron. And contains 110 milligrams of magnesium, 30 milligrams of zinc and 10 milligrams of iron. All of these minerals are in chelated form, which means it’s not going to cause gastrointestinal issues, and it has better absorbability and more bioavailable.
Also, because Accentrate MZI is in capsule form, if a small child can’t swallow the pill, you can take apart the capsule and mix the dry mixture into food, and it doesn’t have any taste. Preferably, you’ll take one capsule in the morning and one capsule in the evening, but you can take both capsules at the same time.
One thing that is important to know is that stimulant medication may cause a magnesium deficiency or a zinc deficiency. So supplementation with magnesium or zinc may increase the effectiveness of the stimulant medication. It may decrease the number of side effects, and it may allow a person to keep the dosage low, or at least not increase the stimulant medication over time.
